"Seducer of the shipwrecked and forlorn"
Aug. 11th, 2006 12:29 pmHere in Green Hill, it is, in almost all ways, a better day than yesterday or the day before. There was a spectacular line of thunderstorms last night, stretching down from the North Shore of Massachusetts all the way to southern Rhode Island, and they seem to have taken away the worst of the heat. It's 75F, with a cool, light wind from the NNE, humidity down to 36%. The sky is clear and blue, with a few white puffs of cloud. Quite nice. And my mood has improved somewhat since that last entry, which is almost as great a relief as the cooler weather.
Yesterday, wanting to be out, but also wanting to avoid the tourististas, we decided to drive up to Cape Ann and Gloucester. The account is behind the cut, for any who've grown weary of these travelogues.
