Another one from Zina Saunders:

And from the Boston Globe. "Palin asked Wasilla librarian about censoring books" (9/14/08):

WASILLA —— Back in 1996, when she first became mayor, Sarah Palin asked the city librarian if she would be all right with censoring library books should she be asked to do so.

According to news coverage at the time, the librarian said she would definitely not be all right with it. A few months later, the librarian, Mary Ellen Emmons, got a letter from Palin telling her she was going to be fired. The censorship issue was not mentioned as a reason for the firing. The letter just said the new mayor felt Emmons didn’t fully support her and had to go.

Spooky, never one to debate the finer points of politics, says of Palin, "The woman's a fucking nutjob, and that's all I have to say on the subject."

Come on Spooky, tell us what you really think...

I honestly don't believe the candidates this time, they are so out of touch with reality.

Ugh. I heard about this story when she was first nominated, but I did *not* hear that the librarian was fired.

Not that I can really be further disappointed in her, but still, it's sad to see it having had an ill effect on other people's lives ~ just for standing up to her. I hope people can see this for the foreshadowing it is should things go horribly wrong.

The people of Wasilla raised a fuss about the termination and Palin had to back down.

Too bad we can't vote for the librarian.

Or Spooky.

That woman gives Christianity a bad name. (That woman gives women a bad name.) The cartoons are cute, but whoever painted her with Bibles is probably off base. I'm sure if she gets to be vp or president, she'll introduce a bill to have the Bible rewritten to eliminate that pussy stuff like love your enemy and beat your missiles (er uh, swords) into plowshares.

As a voter and a librarian, I think that calling Palin a fucking nutjob is, er, putting it mildly. (Starts to feel queasy again...)

Agrees with Spooky

Palin is a total nutjob!
She is bringing the repubs down, thank goodness for that!
How ridiculous trying to pull books from a library,
where will this woman stop!

You know, I finally figured out exactly what bugged the hell out of me about Sarah Palin, and why I'm scared to death of her becoming Veep. She reminds me far too much of my mother.
