I thought you might like to know about this: http://www.ea.com/the-secret-world

The Secret World is a massively multiplayer online game set in our own, modern-day world.

Imagine if every myth, conspiracy theory and urban legend was true. Imagine a world where vampires hunt for mortal blood in dingy London nightclubs, where werewolves lurk in the sewers beneath Seoul, and where the undead prey on the living in the shadows of New York City. This is the premise for The Secret World, Funcom's upcoming massively multiplayer online game set in the modern-day real world.

What really intrigues me, beyond the use of real locations and so on, is the lack of levels and classes. That would tend to suggest both a strong foundation for role-play and a lack of interest for the grinding-focused players.

I know you have Rift and 2L and a certain discontent about spending too much time in games. Thought this might be of interest though. Heck, it's got me slavering for next April.
