"The blackest room."

My favourite song du jour. Two official videos. I love that the first strays towards House of Leaves:

...and the second version, which puts me in mind of Watership Down and the Black Rabbit of Inlé:

In darkness and light,
Aunt Beast

Thank you for these. Strong, beautiful images in both (though there's some in the second that remind me more of the illustrations in The Velveteen Rabbit than Watership Down, and that's a story I grew to dislike... no one should rely on another's love to make them real).

Thanks for sharing. I liked the song, but I never seem to watch the videos anymore. The first one was my favorite.

The Dark Horse cover from your post below - gorgeous. I hope you won't have a hard time with The Drowning Girl's cover.

I'd first heard this song while deployed to Iraq. Yup, that was a real mood improver. Still, as the videos show, it invokes simple, powerfull immagery. Thanks for posting these, the first was my favorite. TT

(Much belated) thank you for these! I love how the "reality" of the hole in the first is emphasized by the camera angles apparently shot from within the hole, with the sound of the song becoming distant. It's so wonderfully, simply creepy.
