Caitlín, do you have zebra spiders(Saltus scenicus) over there? They're the only English jumping spider I know. And rather handsome; I've seen them sunning themselves on walls in my back garden, then they have this marvellous turn of speed whenever prey's about. Writing as an arachnophobe, at least regarding house spiders. But then my boyfriend's scared of silverfish.
