I feel like you should show them all of your reader's comments, so they know you had a very valid opinion when you told them to take the woman off (and would maybe listen to you next time?). I actually really like the tree and the house...it is just the female in the foreground that changes the "tune" of the cover.
And it's not just that she's there. She doesn't seem to be part of the composition proper. Bad photoshopping.
