Don't get me going about the worthlessness of Amazon numbers. I learned that the hard way. I had pretty good numbers for a while on Greasing the Pan through Amazon, and I figured that I at least made back my advance. Then I got my actual sales statement.
Oh dear. That's precisely why I immediately ordered a copy of The Red Tree, because I didn't want to be one of those people who tells you "Oh, your work is important" and then never bothers to buy a copy.
