Thanks for the photos - they bring back memories from my grad school days. I miss Boston, especially the Common, Newbury Street and Central and Harvard Squares. I used to walk across the Mass Ave bridge from MIT to visit Avenue Victor Hugo (now gone, unfortunately) for book-browsing, or through the Common from Beacon Hill. I shared a small fourth floor walk-up on the back side of Beacon Hill with 3 other grad students my first two years in Boston. A lot of specific shops that I frequented are now gone, but I'd bet that equally intriguing ones have sprung up in their place....
