You have so much daylight at 5:30, even in midwinter. Your days must go on forever in summer!
It helps that I stay on Daylight Saving's Time (my 5:30 is Atlanta's 4:30), and also that we are right at the western border of the Eastern Time Zone. And yes, by summer, twilight lingers until almost 10 p.m. I love the Souther summer nights.
