I needed to go back and re-read the entries, to be sure that I was voting for the story as written, and not for the story that my brain has stored. I'm glad I did peruse them again; my memory and reality apparently do not exhibit a one-to-one correspondence, or even anything that might be misconstrued as approaching parity.
I was torn between "pas-en-arrière" and "Untitled 20". I really liked the ongoing alterations in tone, viewpoint and meaning in the first, while the second features the concept of Der Golem, one of my favorite classical monsters, in a novel and intriguing manner. In the end I went for "pas-en-arrière", as I personally found it to be a more subtle and mature story, showing another aspect of your writing that I feel should be given wider audience.
