Actually, [info]chaoticvenus first got me to read your books by describing you just so... Because she knew that the Paleontology background would immediately rope me in... And recently when my Mother called and asked (as she often does) if I've discovered any new books that I'm into, I did in fact tell her, "Oh, I've started reading this really great writer... she's a Paleontologist who now writes horror/fantasy novels."
