Moansday

Not much good that can be said for today. A sickly grey sky that spat rain on and off all afternoon, my office like an icebox, etc. & etc.

"The Ammonite Violin (Murder Ballad No. 4)" is starting to look like a breach delivery. I managed only 331 words yesterday, and tossed them all out this morning. Then I tossed out the first 223 words from today. I stopped and read Angela Carter's "The Company of Wolves" and "The Snow Child," just trying to clear my mind and find focus, then went back to the iBook and did another 460+ words, 460 plus or minus a couple hundred because there was so much revising of what I'd written back on Friday and Saturday. I'm hoping I can finish it tomorrow or by Wednesday at the very latest.
