This reminds me of the frustration I experienced when I bought the director's cut of Rob Zombie's Halloween. Michael's escape from the sanitarium is vastly different than in the theatrical release and, in my opinion, not in a good way. (Among other things, it results in Bill Moseley's brief role being completely cut from the film.) The theatrical version is difficult to find but IS out there, but I can't afford to be purchasing multiple copies of the same film.

Of course, this is different in the sense that I purchased a version of the film which was clearly not going to be the same version that I saw in the theater. I took a gamble because I love the director's cut of The Devil's Rejects. You, on the other hand, had every right to expect the dvd release of Let the Right One In to contain the same subtitles that you saw in the theatrical version.
