I just mean in terms of when he announced he was suspending his campaign that suddenly his decision/strategy was being talked about as a top story on the 24 hour news channels, thereby giving him a huge amount of additional "free advertising" while he was the focal point of the conversation. I've already heard that Palin implored the McCain team to not give up in Michigan, so I haven't completely written that possibility off yet. In a twisted way, the initial pullout could conceiveably rally up the base there. Not saying I'd wish for that to happen at all, it's just within the realm of possibility... I believe it's what the Republicans in the past enjoyed terming "flip-flopping" ;)
