Just got Death Proof from the library on Tuesday and very glad to learn that it has your approval - I've yet to be disappointed by any CRK recommended movies. Yay!
No chance to read SD#34 yet, but it looks to be lovely and unnerving - two of my favorite things. It will be my Saturday reward for making it through the rest of this week without pummeling anyone with a dead cod.
Finally, I understand your decision about Howard's End. It was such a huge project - worthy of a full time effort. I admit to being very sad that it is no more, but your time/health/writing/going Outside take precedence over SL. The HE project reading list gave me the opportunity to revisit some favorite books and stories, so I thank you for reminding me how wonderful the works of Carter, Bradbury, HPL and Barker are.
