It's YOUR journal. Write what you want. If someone is moronic enough to be offended by the fact that you have a mind of your own and then will state they won't buy your books because of it, then I say they can go screw themselves.

I don't always agree with everything you say, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy your books. I'd like to think that there are many people in the world that are actually capable of accepting that we all have differing opinions on things and leave it at that. No two human beings are supposed to be alike.
