The Cox guy - what a pinhead! If they are that fearful of a lawsuit, you should send them a letter of intent to sue for emotional trauma inflicted upon you by their employee who implied that you were too clumsy / stupid /whatever to not trip over a cable.

Comcast isn't any better - monopolies never are. We got rid of cable around 2004 or so, mostly as a cost-cutting measure. It was over $60 just for "enhanced basic" (no HBO, etc.) I spend much, much less than that on bird seed and find the birds more entertaining.
