That's pretty comparable for a similar place in Dallas, too. It's a shame, really: Dallas has some great apartments and houses left over from the Thirties and Forties, and the ones that weren't torn down during the housing bubble and replaced with McMansions are currently havens for SMU fratboys who pry out the molding and set fire to the floors, knowing that Mommy and Daddy will pay for their replacement. (I was once rejected for one of those apartments solely because I didn't go to SMU: the owner was making so much money from overcharging on repairs that he didn't actually want anyone who'd keep up the place and force him to return the deposit.)
