Overall I thought it was a good movie but I only seem to remember the goofs - like using so much CGI that I expected Jar Jar to show up and that line about the chick's son being safe - when he's a member of a Roman royal family. Of course I had just read an abridged version of The Fall and Decline of the Roman Empire and after hundreds of pages of "And then he took over and killed off every single relative of the previous emporer" I kind of had a problem with that notion. Then again it took place before the real bloodletting started so I suppose it wasn't a stupid thing for a dying general to think that a surviving member of a Roman family (especially one that had survived three generations already) would be safe. If only as a private citizen.
