then watched Ryuhei Kitamura's thoroughly messed-up, but entertaining Versus,

[livejournal.com profile] ninevah and I picked that movie up on a lark (hey, it looked interesting!), and we fell absolutely in love with it. Just bizarre, but so good nonetheless.
